Dramatic increase in exports of phosphates and derivatives at end-March 2011 (Foreign Exchange Office)

Moroccan exports of phosphates and derivatives reached over 10.20 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) in late March against 6.56 billion dirhams a year earlier, rising by 55.6%, according to the Exchange Office.
Exports of natural and chemical fertilizers increased from 2.52 billion dirhams, reaching 4.63 billion dirhams against 2.1 billion dirhams at the end of March 2010, the volume also grew by 41.4%, said the office has published monthly indicators of foreign trade.
The average export price of fertilizer has reached 4692 DH / cons 3.018DH T / T in late March 2010, said the monthly report of the Office des Changes.
On their side, exports of phosphoric acid have evolved by 2.1%, amounting to 2.93 billion dirhams against 2.87 billion dirhams over the same period of 2010 to a volume decrease of 26.6%, says the same source, adding that the average price for export has reached 6696 DH / cons 4.814DH T / T at the end of March 2010 (+39.1%).
